Anita’s First Post
Good Evening, I’m Anita Cochran. I said it about a million times, but now as I sit at home unemployed wondering how I will feed my family, I wonder should I have said it a million more.
News junkies in Kansas may recognize the name. I started as a news anchor 20 years ago, in Hays, Kansas. My last position as solo anchor of the 5, 6 and 10 pm newscasts at KSN in Wichita, Kansas, ended almost two weeks ago.
The strange thing is now that I no longer have an audience I have so much to say. Over the years, the things I wasn’t allowed to say, things I got in trouble for saying, things that were just downright inappropriate have all been bubbling up inside me. I swear, my husband thinks it’s gas, but it’s ME trying to get out. Well folks, this is where it all blows to pieces! You’ll want to tune in now and then, even I have no idea what we’re really in for. The one thing I’ve decided, you can take me off TV, but from now on, you can’t shut me up.
